The National Association of Cities Building America Economic Development Program was established to assist America's municipalities, businesses and citizens.  The National Association of Cities (NAC) is one of the country's largest and most representative organizations serving municipal governments with populations of 50,000 or less.  Originally founded in 1999 as The National Association of Cities, represented 68 municipalities and has grown to represent over 10,000 cities, towns and villages across America. 

           The NAC is a non-partisan organization and does not endorse political candidates.  Acting on behalf of local municipalities, NAC's goals include increasing recurring revenues for municipalities and establishing an easy way for citizens and businesses to communicate with their government.  Through a wide range of programs and services NAC assists municipal and civic leaders in their jobs as public servants.

OUR GOALS

  • The development of long term economic development programs that increase recurring revenues for America’s municipality’s
  • Promoting municipal information such as their points of interests, existing and sought after business and industry, tourism, etc. by posting said information on the Internet and maintaining same information in a relational database
  • Establishing a communication tool for civic and business organizations, schools, worship facilities and economic development organizations within each municipality
  • The establishment of a better communication link between citizens and government
  • The ability for citizens, businesses, elected and appointed officials to access various federal, state and local information sources
  • The enhancement and promotion of local existing business
  • The attraction of new business and industry
  • The ability to increase revenues and increase services to citizens
  • The attraction of tourism
  • The development of group-buying programs established for municipalities, businesses and citizens
  • Assist municipalities and their local community with educational and crime prevention programs
  • Assist municipalities in location solutions for various infrastructure needs
  • Assist municipalities in the development of efficient collection of revenues and fees and any municipal related fees
  • Assist municipalities in the development of efficient purchasing procedures including the use of municipal credit or purchase cards
  • Assist municipalities, businesses and citizens in the acquisition of loans, leases and grants
  • Assisting related organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
  • Establishing a better quality of life for citizens by creating strong local, municipal economies
